Find unsecured loans for people with bad credit
If you have a history of missed credit card repayments or loan repayments, or have County County Judgements (CCJs) on your credit history, you’ll likely find it a bit harder to find an unsecured personal loan.
However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t any lenders who will lend to borrowers with poor credit histories, so it’s a good idea to shop around by comparing offers from a range of different loan companies to see if any might fit the bill.
Will my loan’s interest rate be higher because I have bad credit?
Yes, although some lenders will be happy to offer loans to borrowers with poor credit histories, most of them will charge these borrowers higher interest rates, which means the loan will cost more overall.
The reason they charge a higher rate is that borrowers with bad credit histories are a higher credit risk, and the higher APR helps to offset some of this risk.
